Mamaw and Paw live out in the country, and by country I mean boondocks. It's a two hour drive from Fort Worth on the highway, and then another 30 minutes on county roads, back roads, and dirt roads to get to their house. Their closest neighbor is Uncle Donald (Paw's brother). He owns a goat farm about a quarter mile away from Mamaw and Paw's house.
Since they live so far out, there are a lot of interesting things to do that you don't get a chance to do in the city. Picking flowers in the spring is loads of fun at Mamaw and Paw's. Here is two year old Erin picking flowers for MaMaw.
The wildflowers are so beautiful in Texas in the spring. Wildflower season is right around the corner. April is the best month for bluebonnets.
Riding the John Deere is another treat, especially when Daddy lets you drive. Erin was about 1 in this picture.
The views are incredible. It seems like you can see forever.
And the sunsets are spectacular.
Yeah, there's nothing quite like going to your grandparent's house when you're a kid. It's the most beautiful place on earth.
