Daddy's Girl

When I was around 5 or 6, I was a big time Daddy's girl. I remember telling my dad that I wanted to go to K-Mart and buy a wedding ring. We bought everything at K-Mart, so why not a wedding ring? Erin is just like me in this regard. She is also a very big Daddy's girl. Daddy is perfect in every way and Erin would spend every waking moment with him if she could.
I think the Daddy-daughter bonding started when Erin was about one day old while we were still in the hospital. She was a bit fussy, and I couldn't get her quiet. Daddy asked if he could try to calm her down. He laid her on his chest and she went right to sleep.

From that point on, the bond has just gotten stronger. Laying down on Daddy to go to sleep worked really well, even after we got home from the hospital.

And here, they both look so happy to be together.

Daddy is just better than Mommy at some things, like Driver's Education.

Or consoling an angry toddler whose mama insists she wear the hood of her costume just for the pictures.

And as you can see from this picture, Daddy loves his daughter just as much as she loves him.
